I think for the executives to get so much back as their own salary is a little selfish. They are doing a selfless act but in a sense it seems like they need to be paid back, but when it comes to charity you need to do it out of the kindness of your heart. Also the way they advertise charities and make people feel is a little hard and selfless as well because they make people feel obligated to donate yet they're keeping a good amount of it for their own salary. I just don't understand how some organizations can say they are raising money for a cause yet they keep a good amount for themselves yet there are still poor innocent people and children in needs of the charity and help. Although the people do work so much for these organizations and to create these charities they do deserve to be paid back but their main goal shouldn't be to have a huge salary.

idea draft #2

How can someone form a organization for charity?  What is the difficulty level in creating an organization to help others?  Where did the authors get or create this idea of all these peoples life story? Are these real people?  How is it possible for all the people in the stories to have happy endings?  Are these characters in A path appears real?  How did the authors find these people? Did they make interviews to get personal information or did the research using secondary resources?

I chose the three quotes from the book to write about in my first essay. I wasn't too hard to get it into two pages i made it to two pages and a quarter so I was able to condense my writing a lot while getting my point across quickly. I like not having to print out our drafts because we save paper and also everyone is able to see the drafts from online, i just think we should have edit access next time that way we can comment on the google doc instead of the blog. The so what is the point in that we fully understand and grasp the ideas that the author was trying to present and also how we interacted and talked to the text, the ideas we built in our own perspectives. It is important to understand our own critical thinking because we can reflect on how the idea is more broad not like black and white. I don't know why i am not sure about this essay. I feel like I didn't get my point across and as if it is not my strongest. I hope I did well and I hope for the next essay I coul...

My draft so far is not complete I still need to go over it some more and conclude it. I also need to fix the way it transitions and how to make sure my transitions flow and make more sense to where my readers understand how I talk to the text. As of right now i do not believe I have questions about the prompt.

My earliest memories of reading I could remember going to the library and picking out my favorite series book that were called goosebumps. I found those very interesting because they were mysterious and funny to read and just all in all easy to read. I think it is important reading because you grow with the types of reading you are capable in reading now. It is important because you value reading and understandings of reading.

I believe it is important to know the author before writing the essay blog because you need to understand how the author writes and their goals for what they want the readers to understand what the authors point is. You want to understand why the author uses specific wording and imagery before writing your blog so that you do not take the information the wrong way.

highlights  annotations putting myself in the shoes of the characters in their stories sticky notes  definitions of words and foundations  Arguments Change your life with the path you choice change for the better  false that you stay down forever the only way to go when you're down is up  strength is inside everyone  The authors mention the reason why the wrote the book which is, "We wrote this book to encourage others rich and poor alike to join in this push to improve the world."(16) The struggle of people being born into a poor life does not necessarily mean you need to stay poor, you can always make your life change for the better and you grow as a person and change the society for the better.  "Successful people often scorn those who are poor or homeless"(14). This quote is meaning that rich people see poor people as different or not worth anything because they don't make enough money. They see them as less important. QUESTI...

The lottery of birth is basically meaning like your born either in a good state of life or a bad. Some people are born into a life where they do not have to struggle with financial issues or wondering when their meal will be. Then there are others that have to grow up too quickly and find a job or drop out of school to maintain their households and help their families. There are those who have to live in terrible communities with violence and drugs and and murders. Then on the other hand those who wake up every morning never afraid to open a window. So far the story that stood out to me the most Susan Fiske about images of those who are born poor have different brains compared to people who are wealthy. Those who are poor are as if they were not human.

I thought the ice breaker was a good was to slide back into the semester  A little refresher  It was interesting collaborating with my peers because I had the opportunity to understand their thought of a song  Overall it was a great teamwork assignment, everyone did their part, and we made our paragraphs transition smoothly.  I would recommend this assaignment but maybe like if it we a different then for every group that’s way it’d be more interesting a a different genre and vibe song.
