Arlene Penaloza

Writing essay #4 was a little difficult because I couldn't really express my growth as powerful as I could. But I could say that is was a good way to self reflect and understand how much I've learned this semester. I enjoyed writing my final essay of the semester because it just represents that we have made it through the half way mark and I am so ready for my first year of college to be completed that way I could take on and kill the following semester. I am now one step closer to the end and growing as a reader and wrier is giving me the confidence to continue striving in college.

Arlene Penaloza English 104 December 8 ,2017 Growth     I started off this year intimidated, worried, and anxious for what my first semester in college would be like. I was scared because back in high school I was not really the strongest writer and I just felt as if my true ideas and words were not being fully expressed as I tried to release them onto a sheet of paper. I was intimidated for my first English writing class in college because I had my mind set to fail already. I always had teachers telling me that college was going to be so much harder when it comes to writing essays and that we were going to have to write 100 page essay for our classes. But now coming to the end  of my first semester and looking back on my progress and seeing how much I have grown into a write is astonishing. I can truly say my writing strength have grown immensely and my enjoyment and abilities to write will continue to grow. I could say I am ready for the new year, meaning ...

I chose to look at my essay #3 edits and issues because this seemed like the one with the most mistakes. To me it looks like I need to fix a lot of grammatical and structural errors. I googled sentence clarity because that was also an issue I encountered and it basically means,  Use clarity in a sentences. So I will edit that and see if I can have a better essay 3 that way my portfolio is as good as can be.

End of the story  Marjane goes through phases  still has the same mindset of equality she is Iranian and proud never shuts her mouth  always stands up for herself growing up strong  Marjane lives in Europe  gets a husband  is grown up  does not want to stay in Europe anymore  moves away to regain freedom  moves back to Iran from Vienna  Still no pleased because of restrictions  hates having to be confined because she is a women Reading this book was very interesting because we got to view a life of a person from a completely different life. We view it from Marjanes perspective. It was an interesting experience because it goes through all the things she help to dealt with as such a young age until she was and adult. Marjane proves to her readers that any circumstances you are put through and if you are ever oppressed for being a female, or a different race, or just plainly being different you should always stand up ...
