My revision plan for essay #2 is to look through what professor Dan has proposed and see if I would like to take his advice. I think I will take some pointers from professor Dan but also put my own twist into it that way it will be original and my own.  What I will do to revise: Look over the feed back understand what I am asked to fix come up with a way to fix my missing information fix my grammatical errors  make sure everything flows nicely  incorporate more of what is asked for

notes for editing and revising

revision all the power to revise  not everything we first write down is perfect always wanting to change  wondering what if and how it'd be  8 important steps of writing  step 5 frustrating magical  step 5 revise 87% revision is horrible  understanding, solves things the detective of writing good cop to our bad copy  revise to properly express  ripping out the guts or writing and stitching back together  could never find the right idea if its buried under the laziness of revision revision will help your writing be better How will I revise? I will look at my writing and reread and see what I can do to make it flow better fix any grammatical errors and maybe get my point across more strongly.

Essay #3 Reflefction

Reading about diverse languages really caught my attention because it was not like regular English where we all know how to speak and understand it. Reading from a different language gets a reader more involved because they need to put in extra effort to understand what the writer is writing about. I really enjoyed reading diverse langue but it helped me understand that all language are correct and they deserve to be expressed. I also enjoyed writing in Diverse language because I was able to relate about I I've learned to speak growing up and how I know two different languages. Both reading and writing about diverse languages helped me understand how I am a lucky individual to be bilingual and how not to be ashamed of my cultural background but how to express it and appreciate it. I really enjoyed going through this process because it really made me understand that not just one way of speaking a language is correct. It really opened my eyes to the diversity of language and how mo...

Essay #3

Arlene Penaloza English 104 November 10, 2017 Close Reading Rhetorical Analysis     Reading new types of writing after becoming more of an active critical reader has really intrigued me and caught my attention as a reader. As we have received these last few articles they all have the same opinion that all diverse languages are good things. Reading texts that have different words that are not in English have really made me more interested in reading because I want to know what the author is saying and why they had to use a different language. After reading the articles by Young, Anzaldua and Lyiscott, understanding where they come from and why they believe that any language has the right to be spoken it has really made me think of interacting with the text more and how to understand the different ways to speak. As said in many of the articles we have read and videos we’ve seen, we learned that their is no specific standard rule in speaking the way you choose. So t...

while writing this essay I feel like I did not really fully address the prompt. I would like a lot of feedback on ways to make my essay stronger and if it clearly addresses the prompt. I felt successful in as much I could write but I am still unsure if it was successfully answering the prompt.

I think The most important for the "they say" and the "I say" is maybe equal. I believe it is both equal because in order to have a clear and able to understand type of writing you need your opinion and some facts based on others opinion depending on what type of writing you are forming.

I think that essay 3 will challenge me a little because I am still unclear in what we have to do specifically. Today I will listen careful and ask for clarification if necessary while we go over the assignment.

I think they call assignment sheets interactive  because the students get a physical copy of what an assignment will be based on. It is interactive because we can constantly refer back to the assignment sheet in case we get stuck or confused about anything.
