Essay #2 refelcetion

Essay 2 was a lot different from essay 1. I feel as if I had an easier time writing about essay two than I did figuring out what to express for my fist essay. What I found challenging was finding a visual I could relate to. Writing this essay also gave me sense of learning to look deeper into an image. All in all I enjoyed writing this essay and I feel as if maybe writing is starting to grow on me.

I could say I struggled a little deciding what I was going to write about. I wasn't sure if I was going to capture the right meaning of this visual of if I interpreted the meaning of it correctly so I was a little intimidated to go off on a mural that was painted on our school campus. But as I looked at it and study the visual I saw some meaning towards it. Also after looking up the real meaning behind it I could easily say the message portrayed and the message I received was mutual. The assignment helped me look at images in a different way now because I focus more on the meaning. when I past a painting or mural I don't just see it as paint on a wall, I see and image or story that an author was trying to say and share with the community.

I would recommend this assignment because it can really help a read see with their own eyes that reading is more than just words on paper. It can be on a form of art, sculpture, even plain writing. It the true meanings that lay behind the image that is the reading. This assignment also allows for student to roam around the city to find meaning and they can even learn about importance of San Francisco and learn history So yes 10 out of 10 I would recommend this assignment.
