PW#7 Unit 1 Reflection

After the past 4 weeks I feel that I have gotten a bigger understanding of how to write a better essay. By reading the book They say, I say, I learned about how to use quotations, and how to introduce them. I also learned that texts are very important to a reader because it can give certain emotions that a person can relate to their personal experiences. I learned that expressing the relevance is as important as inserting the quote that way you are not just throwing random quotes into a paragraph.

I think the essay I wrote, my first essay in a while actually, is decent. I feel like it could be better but I personally don't know how to write a good essay about my personal self and relate it to anything because I think it hard for me to try and relate to someone or something else. But after getting with my group and reading their narratives and getting feedback from them it really helped me fix my essay, but I do think it could use some improvement. Considering the fact that this is my first essay of the year since like junior year in high school it was not completely horrid but there is definitely a good amount of room for improvement.

I think the class activities do help when you get a group that is actually interested in doing the activities. For example my group with Shin Shan and Johnathan was a great team effort and we all worked well, so that helped me understand more on learning what to do in class. The work we contributed evenly and we all easily agreed, and listened to each others opinions.
