    • How reading relates to one’s life and their own world
    • The act of reading is seen as a higher development process for humans
    • critically understanding of the act of reading

    • language and reality are connected

The quote in the text states, “Surrendering myself to this effort, I re-created and re-lived in the text I was writing, the experience I live at a time when I did not yet read words”. In my opinion I think the writer is trying to say that  he still did not write words from his life. He did not relate or fully feel the words.

Another quotes state's, “Insistence on a quantity of readings without due internalization of texts proposed for understanding rather than mechanical memorizing reveals a magical view of the written word, a view which must be superseded” I believe that this quote means that writing is not just about memorizing how to construct a writing. It is much higher and powerful that a constructive essay it's about how words intertwin with world.

The next quotes says, “Reading the world always precedes reading the word, and reading the word implies continually reading the world” Both reading the word and reading the world is connected. They are one and the other because “everything is a text”. Their is a message for everyone in everything we read and they can relate it to an event from the world and their life.

    QUESTIONS:

In what ways can word be world?
How does one's interpretation of a reading differ or relate to others?
